The Garganey disappeared for about an hour after it was seen at 1:20 p.m. Fortunately, it reappeared in the same place (the second "flowage"/stream flowing south just barely east of county F on the south side of Abel) at 2:30 p.m. and was still there when my friend, Gary Ash, and I left at 3 p.m. The Garganey was feeding in a weedy area in the center of the "flowage" south of Abel and only about 50 ft. from the road. It was hanging out with a female Blue-winged Teal as well as a pair of Blue-winged Teal. All 4 ducks were feeding quite close together.

Subject: [mou-net] Garganey found at Crex Meadows

The Garganey was seen at 1:20 pm at Abel and F in Crex Meadows.
Luke Hollander spotted it after many hours of searching.
With Alyssa DeRubeis, Roy Zimmerman, Bill Brown, Butch Ukura, and many others.
