Come join us for the annual golden eagle count on Saturday January
17th 2009. You can join us on one of the established routes in SE
Mn or SW Wi, or if you think you have goldens wintering in your area,
you are encouraged to do a route near you. NEW this year are 3
seminars and field trips. These will be lead by Scott Mehus and will
focus on identifying Golden Eagles. If you have never seen a Golden
or never seen one in these parts, these field trips offer a good
chance to see them (it's birding so of course nothing's guaranteed)
You are welcome on the field trips even if you do not plan to take
part in the count. Field trip/seminars meet at the National Eagle
Center in Wabasha MN at 1:00 pm on December 20, 2008, January 10
and January 13, 2009. You may attend one or all.

If you want to participate in the count, please email or call Scott
Mehus
[log in to unmask] or 651-565-4989 ext 101and he will
get you a route map and data sheets and all the details

You can also back channel me for more info. Joan Schnabel Buffalo
