Hey birders,
This morning I found a Cattle Egret in with some Holstein cows along CR13
south of CR5 (right at the bend). I also found a Marbled Godwit along CR12
south of CR5 and north of the Courtland WMA. Other shorebirds at this
site: Least Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstone, Wilson’s Phalarope, Semipalmated
Plover, and Dunlin.
The cattle pond on CR111 had awesome shorebird habitat a day ago but 1.5
inches of rain has largely eliminated the mudflats. There were 5 Ruddy
Turnstones on what is left of the mud there today.
Happy birding!
