Hey birders,
While looking for Loggerhead Shrikes in the Kasota Prairie area in
southwestern Le Sueur County this morning I found a calling/displaying
Yellow-breasted Chat. This was at about 6:15am.
The bird was on Township Road 140/367th Avenue south of the Kasota Prairie
SNA and about 0.5 miles north of Township Road 360/480th Street. The bird
was on the west side of the road on the downslope and while that area is
posted, the bird was readily seen and heard from the road.
Happy birding!
