This morning at about 7:30 I found a Spruce Grouse on Cook Co. Rd. 2 north of Tofte just south of where Forest Road 170 heads east towards Baker Lake. I think this is about 16 miles from Tofte. I then turned onto FR 170 and within a mile of the intersection I found what appeared to be a family of Spruce Grouse feeding in the road. There was a male displaying and what appeared to be an adult female carefully watching 6 younger birds.
