Say's Phoebe
Clay County
170th Street N

While leading a trip for the Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter. We observed a Say's phoebe, at Felton Prairie. It's likely that this is one of the birds previously reported from the area. The bird was observed on the West side of 170th Street N, just north of the small wooded area on the North side 15 of the Lake. The bird was observed at 9:45 am. We observed the bird for around 15 minutes, of which it spent most of that time hawking insects from the barded wire fence that runs along 170 St N.
