On a BBA re-check of the empty industrial lot west of the High Bridge
plant, at least one Bell's Vireo was heard singing repeatedly ---and
seen very briefly and unsatisfactorily!--from the line of small trees
and shrubs between the lot and the plant. This species was not
detected here the two previous years of the study, but its voice and
song were familiar from elsewhere. Nevertheless, I did check
recordings on the spot, to confirm the ID. It was possible to track
the bird aurally as it moved along the treeline, toward some wet areas
near the back of the lot.

Present again this year were Kildeer and Spotted Sandpipers. In
addition, many swallows were hunting there, and the local kestrel was
hovering overhead. Two Osprey were visible on the platform nest as
well.
