I got a chance to see the Black Guillemot this morning. Thanks to Mike for covering the specifics on this bird. Attached are my photos from this morning! This was my first guillemot I've ever seen, and the black, gray and white markings were absolutely stunning! http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119192819 http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119192820 http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119192821 http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119192823 http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119192824 http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119192826 I also walked a good portion of Park Point today... from the airport to the Superior Entry. It was my first time walking to the Superior Entry, and it sure was a pleasant walk. Along with the many Herring Gulls and Ring-billed Gulls, one immature Thayer's Gull was observed. Here's a photo of the Thayer's Gull, next to a Herring Gull for comparison. http://www.pbase.com/birdfedr/image/119193223 Good birdwatching, Erik Bruhnke Duluth, MN NATURALLY AVIAN - Guided bird hikes and bird photography [log in to unmask] ---- Join or Leave mou-net:http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives:http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
