Hey birders,

You can’t get them all. The Black-necked Stilt found by Ruth Amundson (of
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron fame) was not present this evening when I
finally had time to look. We do have lots of flooded fields around the
Lake Crystal area and driving back roads normally causes you to stumble
into little pockets of shorebirds every couple of miles.

This evening I found probably about 100 shorebirds consisting of the
following species: Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper, Spotted
Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, and Semipalmated Sandpiper.

I’m looking forward to what Ruth finds tomorrow!

Happy birding!
