Hi,
Conny Brunell just called and asked me to post that she and Susan Schumacher are currently observing this Snowy Owl from highway 19, west of Dakota County highway 59. It is south of 19 in an open field across from house number 1021.

Subject: [mou-net] Snowy Owl/Rice Co. photos
Hi All--
On Tuesday afternoon, Gene Bauer called to report a Snowy Owl in Rice Co.
near the intersection of MN 19 and Dakota Co. 59, just within Rice Co. I
took some interesting photos and posted them on my bog

As a postscript on the gull photo I recently posted on the blog, at this
time I think a good argument can be made that the bird is a Vega Gull, the
Asian race of the Herring. There are photos on the web that are nearly
identical. See for example

Good Birding!
