An adult Iceland Gull was below Lock and Dam #2 (Hastings)
early this afternoon; also present were two 1^st -winter Thayer's Gulls
along with 40 Herring Gulls. The Iceland Gull may be the same adult
reported earlier this week upriver in South St. Paul. Earlier today from
Prescott, WI, Jim Mattsson and I watched a first-year male hybrid Common
Goldeneye x Hooded Merganser. It associated closely with a flock of
several hundred goldeneyes just west of the marina in town.
