This afternoon I found a flock of roughly 50 Snow Buntings just southwest of Lewiston in Winona County. The birds were working the road shoulders along Co. Rd. 18, just east of the intersection with Cemetary Rd. A lone Snow Bunting was also found further west where Burt Rd. heads south from 18.
From Highway 14 in Lewiston head south on Co. Rd. 29. Look for 18 south of town and head west.

Golden Eagles continue to be quite active in Wiscoy Valley south of Winona in the afternoons. Look for them anywhere from the intersection of Highway 76 and Winona Co. Rd. 17 along 17 to it's intersection with Co. 19. Slightly less than a mile from the where 17 turns off 76 there is a farm with a house on one side of the road and the barn on the other. Pay attention to the goat prairie above this farm and the surrounding area.

Good Birding!
