I am unclear whether the JEOL EDS system supplied with 8230 and 8530 are SiLi or SDD. I would assume SDD, but in discussing this question with at least one 8530 lab (with integrated Jeol EDS), there was no apparent evidence that a complete spectral pattern was acquired either in spot mode or mapping mode (of course, ROIs were easily defined and acquired).. Can someone clarify is for me? Thanks

John
