Under supervision of the PI, the Staff Research Associate will manage the
electron microprobe laboratory and conduct melt inclusion research.

Main responsibilities for electron microprobe laboratory include ensuring
that the instrument and associated petrographic and sample preparation
facilities are in working order, that users are trained and provided
appropriate resources for data collection, that the laboratory is
adequately supplied with required materials, and that safety protocols are
followed.

Research responsibilities include conducting research, independently and in
collaboration with PI, on melt inclusions and experimental petrology.

Required/Preferred


   - PhD in related field.


Preferred


   - Experience in electron microprobe lab management.


Required


   - Experience in melt inclusion and experimental petrology research.
   - Knowledge of current research in petrology and mineralogy.
   - Ability to interact positively with lab users and PI, and to
   communicate accurately in written and spoken English.
