I have some 11 year old probe data. Seven grains were analyzed (4 spots
each) and the results ranged from 170 to 190 ppm CoO. I suspect that Co
metal was used as a standard. I doubt that I can find the operating
conditions.

Probe folks,
Does anyone know of published (or even unpublished) values for cobalt in
San Carlos, AZ olivine? How about Harrat al Kishb, Saudi Arabia
forsterite? Both concentrations should be in low three-digit ppm range.
I'd like to know because I'm trying to check our accuracy at measuring
Co in olivine at such a level.
Thanks,
Ellery
