This is a tad late, for those planning on attending the Microscopy 
and Microanalysis Conference next week in Chicago, -- following the 
first day (Monday)'s Microbeam Analysis Society Quant session talks, 
there will be an opportunity to discuss issues related to users' 
interests developing "core community specifications" for purchase, 
for calibration, and for software maximization of electron 
microprobes.  This will be at 3:00 PM in the same room as the quant 
talks.
