Call for Papers: Special Issue on E-Government

In 2004, the International Journal of Public Administration will
publish a special issue on e-government, to be edited by G. David
Garson, North Carolina State University. Article proposals and
volunteers to be on the special issue's Editorial Board.

In addition to relating to e-government in the United States or other
countries, articles should seek to relate the particular e-government
topic they address to literature in the field and to future research.
In the words of the IJPA series mission, authors should "discuss in
their manuscripts (a) the intellectual foundations and history of
their field; (b) where the field stands today regarding major
theories, ideas, and practices; and/or (c) where there field (ed:
studies of e-governance) is heading in the future."

Proposals should be received by May 1, 2003, at the latest. Some
proposals have already been commissioned and it is possible that the
special issue may close on proposals prior to this date.

Letters (preferably e-mail with the Subject: line "Editorial Board")
volunteering to serve on the editorial board must be received by
August 1, 2003, but membership on the board is limited and may close
prior to that date. Names of members of the editorial board for this
special issue will, of course, appear in the journal.

The special issue on "E-Government" of the International Journal of
Public Administration has the following deadlines:
1. Sept. 1, 2003: Authors must submit their complete drafts for
review.
2. October 1, 2003: Authors will receive peer feedback.
3. Nov. 1, 2003: The final manuscript must be received by the editor
at his email address, which is [log in to unmask] Manuscripts
should be in Word .doc format (or if this is not possible, then .rtf
Rich Text Format). Manuscript files should be named by lead author,
as should any figures (ex., smith.doc, smith_fig1.jpg). The editor
will confirm receipt of the file transfer.

It is the responsibility of each lead author to assure their
manuscript conforms to these guidelines.

Each author and each coauthor must sign a copyright release. This may
be printed from

and then after being filled out and signed, should be mailed to the
address below immediately, not waiting for submission of the final
article:
