Please share this invitation with your colleagues as you see fit. Apologies
for cross-posts.
University of Minnesota (UMN) IT leadership is initiating formal
Communities of Practice (fCoPs) that mobilize around FY2013 IT
priorities<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsKHD_2ssxOUdER5a2xIUVlyYU9GMUpIcXM2T3BsX3c>,
and you are invited to participate in these communities to help shape the
future of IT at the University of Minnesota.
Anyone at the University is welcome to join these communities to engage in
planning that advances key strategic initiatives. These groups will be
self-governing in that they will complete their own formal CoP charter and
operation plan. One of the next communities is IT Governance.
The IT Governance fCoP is charged with making the IT governance credible by
operationalizing it in a way that ensures confidence, success,
transparency, fairness, and understanding. We plan to advise the Associate
Chief Information Officers (ACIOs) in a process that will accomplish the
following:
- Encourage everybody at UMN to be a voice in IT priorities
- Synthesize the list of demands, and recommend priorities
- Provide a list of recommended priorities to senior university
executives for final prioritization
- Ensure transparency throughout the process
Christopher Stordalen ([log in to unmask]), Global Programs and Strategy
(GPS) Alliance IT director, is this group’s interim lead.
Join the community!
