Hi Peter,

I know CLA's Digital Content Library <https://dcl.umn.edu> uses images
where:

   - Thumb – 72 dpi, 150 pixels longest side, jpeg format
   - Screen – 72 dpi, 500 longest side, jpeg format
   - Projection – 72 dpi, 1280 longest side, jpeg format
   - Master – 3200 longest side, 16 bit depth, Adobe 1998 color space, TIFF
   format

For each of the 220,000-ish images, these 4 file sizes exist.
