Mike, I think if you support it from the ground it will vibrate the
whole column. In the early 90's we had a Amray 1700 Turbo system.
It used a bellows and a thick rubber sheet that wrapped around the
bellows fastened by hose clamps, The orientation of the rubber and
position of and tightness of the clamps would minimize vibration
transferred to the column. Owen Mills
