Hey guys and gals,

I am emailing you to let you know about a FREE
event this Wednesday, October 24, at 4 p.m. in 125 Nolte which might
interest them: "Staging Thirst: Environmental (in)justice and dancing
unrest." Join us for a conversation on environmental justice,
communities of color, and cultural activism with Hui N. Wilcox,
Omise'eke Natasha Tinsley and Ananya Chatterjea. These three
participants in the Ananya Dance Theater will discuss the productive
alliance between dance-making and social justice work, as well as the
notion of dancers being simultaneously cultural activists and artists.
The Ananya Dance Theatre is a company of women artists of color,
diverse in age, race, nationality, and sexual orientation, but
uniformly committed to artistic excellence and passionate articulation
of our dreams, hopes, and desires.
