While photographing Gulls at Black Dog Lake on Saturday, November 29, 2008 a very pale gull flew in. I thought it was either a very pale Thayer's or a Kumlien's Iceland Gull.

I was thinking this bird was pale enough to be a Kumlien's Gull, but after looking at the images at home and asking Bruce Fall for his opinion it appears to be a Thayer's Gull.

Regardless it was nice to be so close to this bird in good light to photograph it.
