On the way home today I was thinking it would be a perfect time for a SNOWY OWL. Sure enough about 2 miles from home there was a first year male or female atop a utility pole. I slowed down just enough to make the ID and then rushed home and picked up my wife to come back for another look. Fortunately it was still there, but flew within a few seconds.

Location: about 8 miles south of Claremont on County Road 3 between 700th and 710th avenues. Observed between 5:10 and 5:20 PM.
