At 7am this morning I was viewing the backside of Herding Island at Park Point and viewed a adult Arctic Tern flying amongst a flock of about 60+ Common Terns.

At Lafayette Square on Park Point viewing the lake I saw one Red-throated Loon flying by me and then landing on the lake out in front of me.

The Arctic Tern is most likely the same tern that Peder Svingen reported last Thursday and the loon might be one of the same loons reported by birders on Thursday as well. The only other decent sighting was a Blackpoll Warbler working the willows near the boat launch.

LaFayette Square sightings:

-Dunlin
-Semipalmated Sandpiper
