The Cerulean Warbler and Olive-sided Flycatcher persist (and sang
repeatedly) on Blue Hill Trail, Sherburne NWR, this morning.
One could hear the Olive-sided practically from the parking lot, it was
present in a number of spots just past the opening fork.
On the other hand, the Cerulean had moved about 20 minutes in on the left
hand side, just before the coniferous section.
There were substantial bug issues on the trail (next walk includes netting).
Gone to Wisconsin for a marriage renewal service over the weekend, but
birded Aitkin County on Friday morning. Highlights were singing
Connecticuts and Yellow-bellied Flycatchers on CR 18, along the
Grant-in-Aid/snowmobile trail (Connecticut was about a mile in). Unusual
was a Yellow-billed Cuckoo at Rice Lake Refuge.
Good birding to all.
