So far we have 57 reported Northern Hawk Owls in northern Minnesota. There was a report of a Northern Hawk Owl just south of Baudette but with no mileage to go on I did not add this sighting to the owl map. So officially its 58 reported Northern Hawk Owls. So if you want your hawk owl sighting to be part of this map I need mileage from nearby roads or towns/cities rather than mile posts numbers. Thanks

Also on the updated owl map I included the Whyte Road and the Stoney River Logging Rd. To see these roads you will have to use the zoom tool ( + or - ) and click on + till you see the red and purple lines. Click on the lines and I added mileage on how many miles the Stoney River Logging Rd is from CR 15/ FR 11 to Hwy 1 and mileage from CR 15 / FR 11 to Whyte Road and etc.. These mileage will help traveling birders get an idea how long it will take to travel to these roads. Also information that the Whyte Rd is open only to the Cloquet Rd.

I hope you find this map useful.
