As the winter season is coming to close this might be the last update of Northern Hawk Owls in northern Minnesota. As of right now there has been 91 reported Northern Hawks in northern Minnesota this 2009/2010 winter season. I have another 2 Northern Hawk Owls that have not been added to the map so the count is actually 93 reported Northern Hawk Owls that have been reported to me, the RBA's or from other sources.

For those that are wondering if there are any Hawk Owls still around in places like Sax-Zim Bog or Aitkin County I would say yes.

Thanks for all your reports. Hopefully next year it will be Great Gray Owls I'll me monitoring!!

Mike
