A juvenile Sabine's Gull was present late this afternoon, 20
September, on the bay side of Park Point. It was first seen flying in
the vicinity of the Duluth Rowing Club out from 36th St around 4 pm,
and it was eventually relocated as it swam in the bay out from the
Park Point Recreation Area among a group of Ring-billed Gulls. It got
up and flew a few times, but it was still present at 6 pm farther to
the NW in the bay when I and other birders left the area. Several
recognizable photos were taken but the low overcast at the time made
it difficult to get good images (the best of these will be posted on
Recently Seen).
