While playing hookie from my counting duties at Hawk Ridge this morning (20
September 2010), two juveniles and an adult Sabine's Gull were briefly seen and
photographed (at 8:04 am) flying on the Minnesota side of the Superior Entry in
Duluth before disappearing over the Minnesota breakwall heading towards downtown
Duluth. Also present was a single Surf Scoter flying with a single Greater
Scaup, 15 Bonaparte's Gulls, 144 Herring Gulls, and 214 Ring-billed Gulls.
