Adding to all the jaegers and other birds sighted at Wisconsin and
Park Points yesterday, a Red-throated Loon was present this morning on
the L Superior side of Park Point out from 31st Street.

By the way, the presence of all 3 jaegers at Wisconsin Pt yesterday
might bring back memories for those of us who have been birding
Minnesota for awhile. On the exact same date 30 years ago (October 15,
1980), all 3 jaegers were observed at Park Point, along with a Red
Phalarope, Harlequin Duck, and all 3 scoters! If you happen to have
some back issues of The Loon, see "Beware the Ides of October" in the
Winter 1980 issue (52:143-145).
