I was driving by Lake Harriet and saw Chet with his spotting scope setup. I stopped and asked what he was looking at. When he told I jumped out of the car and ran over for look. The bird was in the middle of lake so a scope is needed.

This morning about 10:00 A.M. I saw an adult male White-winged Scoter on Lake Harriet. It was near the middle of the lake hanging out with a Pied-billed grebe.
There were a couple of Common loons too, but very few other waterfowl.
