I just received a report of a possible Acorn Woodpecker from Eden Prairie (probably Hennepin County), but nothing more specific. I was give no location -- not even a street -- and no description of the bird. I'm not even sure on what date the bird was seen.

I am trying to get a hold of the observer and will post again if I learn anything new. Sorry this is as yet so unhelpful, but I thought perhaps this vague alert was better than keeping it quiet until I had something more definitive.
