Six Trumpeter Swan cygnets hatched out in the last few days at Kasma
Marsh in Lake Rebecca Park Reserve. The swan family can usually be seen
from the paved bike trail at the south end of the Park which is in
western Hennepin County close to the Crow River and just south of
Rockford, MN. Other swans are sitting on nests scattered throughout
several Park Reserves and on adjacent private lands.

Also, our Purple Martin colonies at Baker National Golf Course (Medina),
French Regional Park (Medicine Lake, Plymouth) and Eagle Lake Golf
Course (Plymouth/Maple Grove) are filled to capacity with nesting
martins. Here's hoping the weather stays warm for lots of insects!
