Guide Dog Users, Inc., a 501-c-3 Organization serving blind  and visually
impaired persons and their guide dogs, is seeking a  webmaster for our 
newly
launched website. Hourly fees will be considered but a monthly maintenance
package fee is preferred.

Job Description:

Management of our website with CMS ( content management system) currently
operating on JOOMLA 1.7  and all  auxiliary sites and add-ins, including 
the
Amazon cloud FTP for periodic (monthly or as needed)  file upload.

Expert knowledge of web accessibility and assistive technology and
working-knowledge of popular screen readers for the blind and visually
impaired.

Maintenance of gdui.org list servers for board email and e-blast
announcements. This may also include additional enhancements in the future
such as web forums and lists.

Fast turnaround time and timely response to requests for content posting,
adding new members and maintaining membership database and other related
tasks. This also includes trouble shooting at the request of GDUI.

Periodically check the look and feel of the website and take the 
initiative
to improve user interface and proactively troubleshoot for presentation or
functionality errors.

Work closely with publications committee chairperson,   office manager, 
and
President as needed for bimonthly board member conference calls and 
required
billing and maintenance reports.
