I received a number of requests for better directions to the location.
From the parking lot walk straight down the trail until you reach the Hogback Ridge sign. Turn left (North) and walk along the East side of the dried up pond. Before you reach the bridge going over the stream you will take a right (East) on a small trail into the woods. I scuffed the dirt where the path starts. This is about 10 yards past a railroad plank sitting on the edge of the main path. Follow trail East towards cattails but turn left (North) just past some fallen trees. Walk to the stream and filled in Beaver pond and look for the bird East over the Beaver damn. It might forage out of sight around some of the cattails. Also present were a Pectoral and Least Sandpipers and many Snipe.
I also found at least 4 Nelson's Sparrow in the vegetation by the stream and one American Pipit on the dried mud.
