Our Park District just received a dead Boreal Owl from Blue Hill
Township, Sherburne County, from March 8th. And, a live Boreal Owl was
observed roosting and hunting on private property in Mound, Hennepin
County, over the weekend. The landowner does not want visitors, and I
only mention the sighting because of its southerly location. This
crusty snow must be stressful for the owls.
