This morning at the Purgatory Wetlands in Eden Prairie, Hennepin County there were 4 Wilson's Phalaropes. Four species of Grebes, 8 Red-necked, 5 breeding plumage Eared, 5 Horned, and 10 Pied-billed. Franklin's Gulls, an Osprey fishing and a small variety of Ducks under just another cold, dreary, overcast, drizzling Spring morning sky.

Purgatory Creek Wetlands

The Purgatory Creek Wetlands is in Eden Prairie, Hennepin County. It is south from MN State Hwy 5 on Prairie Center Drive about .4 mile on the south side of Prairie Center Drive. You will see the Purgatory Recreation Area and Flagship Corporate Center signed and can park in either lot to walk the paved trail around the wetlands. A good overall viewing area is behind the office building on the bridge that overlooks the wetland.
