Firefox crashed on me and apparently sent the last message prematurely.
Here is the rest of it:

PEREGRINE FALCON Polk County (Occasional) seen at the corner where Polk
County 68 turns east (this is the same as 260th street, the road goes to
the Snowy Egret intersection). This is just prior to the intersection of
Polk County 68 and Polk County 21

SHRIKE SPECIES Polk County (Occasional) seen roughly 200 yards east from
the the Peregrine on Polk County 68. I have yet to get binocs on this
guy. It keeps flying off when I pull over. It has been present along the
telephone wires since at least last Saturday. My current assumption is
Loggerhead. I'll update if it sticks around and I get a good look at it.
If I understood correctly, Loggerheads bred on this corner 2 years ago (but
not last year).

AMERICAN AVOCET Pennington County (Occasional) Seen at the corner of
Pembina Trail and Polk County 23 (170th St) in the flooded gravel pit.
This is part of Goose Lake IBA.

COMMON LOON Red Lake County (Occasional) 2 seen <200 yards south of the
Red Lake/Pennington County border in Goose Lake WMA/IBA. Just east of the
intersection of Pembina Trail and Polk County 19 (140th Street)

I also had the following new species for the year:
LESSER YELLOWLEGS Pennington County (Goose Lake IBA)
BONAPARTE'S GULL Marshall County (Agassiz Valley Project)
SHORT-EARED OWL Polk County (Agassiz Valley Project)
EASTERN KINGBIRD Marshall County (near Warren)
EASTERN BLUEBIRD Pennington County (Goose Lake IBA)
SWAMP SPARROW Red Lake County (Goose Lake IBA)

RFI: RUFFED GROUSE

Does anyone know where I can find some info regarding Ruffed Grouse
displays (other than the one pictured in Sibley's)? I observed what
appeared to be display behavior between two Ruffed Grouse, but am having
trouble getting info on various displays. Thanks.
