I was birding northern Carlton County near Sawyer this morning. While
listening for rails and bitterns in the marsh at the north end of Hall Central
Rd. an adult Red-headed Woodpecker flew overhead and landed in the
aspen forest - replanted in 1982 according to the sign - along Moorhead
Rd., about 1 mile north of SR.210.

There was a male Green-winged teal in the marsh. But I came up empty
on the rails and bitterns.
