There are 2 American Avocets feeding in a man-made mudflat just to the south across Hwy. 23 from the Paynesville sewage ponds. I saw a total of 107 species this morning in Stearns county which is the most I have ever seen in a day in Minnesota. The Avocet is also my 299th state bird so it was a really good morning. I will give a full report tonight when I have time. Good Birding, Jason Caddy, Minneapolis [log in to unmask]
