A male Blue Grosbeak was present this morning at the gravel pit location described by Chad Heins on 7/10. While watching the male perched on the telephone wire, a female Blue Grosbeak carrying a large bug flew briefly to the wire and then down to the brush along one of the pit mounds, suggesting an active nest might be present.

Thanks for the posting, Chad.
