Late this morning I got a male Spotted Towhee singing and perching in the
open at the southwest corner of Buffalo River State Park in Clay County.
It's along the main hiking trail if you go southwest of the swimming
beach/picnic area, cross the bridge south over the river, and then proceed
east to the first clearing.

I'm assuming that this is the same bird that showed up about this time last
year. I hike this trail a lot (last hiked a week ago) and I hadn't
detected this bird until today. Just a warning, the mosquitoes are very
bad along the trail.
