At about 10:45 AM Friday morning I found a Red-necked Phalarope in a small farm pond about 15 minutes south of Rushford, between the "towns" of Highland and Bratsberg.
The pond is located on the south side of CR 10 between CR 25 and Cricket Trail. There were also several Solitary and Least Sandpipers, Lesser Yellowlegs and Killdeer present. The pond is small, but the water level is ideal, and the grassy surroundings look like they could, with some luck, attract a Buff-breasted Sandpiper.
