We observed and photographed this bird this AM. Note that the bird nearly
always goes to a feeder in the back of the house where it cannot be seen
from the road. Brad Holt, one of the homeowners offered a solution for
folks who wish to see the bird. Please e-mail or call us and we will be
happy to act as a go between with the solution.
Also the bird is rarely seen in the afternoon, although we saw it at 12:30
PM today. They say that they have only seen it in the AM until today.

Subject: [mou-net] Summer Tanager update
An adult male Summer Tanager continues to visit the bird feeder of Kerri
Holt (Kanabec County).
A birder saw it yesterday morning (November 7) and Kerri saw it again at
7:00am this morning (November 8). It seems that it has only been seen in
the mornings. Another birder tried for it yesterday around 3:00pm with no
luck.
Her address is 2696 235th Ave., Brook Park, MN 55007. The feeders can be
viewed from the road. If visiting, please be respectful of her yard.
I put Kerri's photo of the tanager on the "Recently Seen" page on the MOU
website: http://www.moumn.org/cgi-bin/recent.pl.
Good birding!
