This evening at dusk I found a Snowy Owl NE of Vermilion while
participating in the Hastings CBC. The almost pure white owl was sitting
on an irrigation truss. Directions to where it was observed: from 190th
Street, go north on Hogan Avenue past the grain elevators and look east.
It was on the south most irrigation unit. It was not refound just a
little while after I left the area.

The owl was a delicious dessert on an absolutely beautiful day for birding.
In addition I found a Rough-legged Hawk (another was also found), five
Brown Creepers, and 22 Eurasian Collared Doves (all outside of Vermillion).
Also reported was a Long-tailed Duck at Prescott, a Greater Scaup, a
Bluebird, and a White-crowned Sparrow.
