I observed an immature/female Long-tailed Duck on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, Hennepin County this afternoon.  The subzero wind was brutal and the steam hovering over the open water in the middle of the lake made it difficult to see at times as the ducks were diving continuously.  At that time the LTDU stayed in close proximity of the Common Mergansers.
