Hello,

I been reporting the Snowy Owl on the Riley Road this week and several
birders and photographers from all over have been enjoying this owl.
Yesterday I noticed a new sign "Private Property" erected on a pole next to
a open gate. I called Ulland Brothers Construction and I talked to one of
the supervisors who inform me that they are only leasing part of the land
but the land is owned by Lake Superior Radio Control org. and this was
confirm by checking St. Louis County website. So I called the president of
that organization and we had a wonderful chat and he was very happy to hear
that a Snowy Owl is on their land. I inform him of the newly placed sign
and he assured me that no one in his club put that sign up and he told me
that any birder or photographer that wants to walk in and photograph the
owl or observe the owl has permission from the club. He also also assured
me that no one from his club put that sign up or was aware that the sign
was placed recently. He told me to ignore the sign and we have access to
the land. He is puzzled on who put that sign up but anyway I thought I
share this information to you all.
