This morning I viewed the Snowy Owl that is north of Atwater for well over an
hour. It was in the section to the northwest of the intersection of County Roads
2 and 10, and it was perched on an irrigator about 0.25 miles north of Co. Rd. 10
and about 0.25 miles west of Co. Rd. 2.
Yesterday afternoon Joel Schmidt refound this owl that was originally found by
the principal at my school. It was also seen yesterday by Ron Erpelding and
Dennis and Barbara Martin. Today's sighting marks the fourth day this owl has
been seen in this section. It has been seen on a pole and on the ground.
Hopefully it sticks around.
I don't have any more follow-up reports on the other Kandiyohi Snowy Owl found
by Randy Frederickson nor do I have any recent information on Meeker Co. owls.
Pictures of all the Snowy Owls I have seen can be found on my eBird checklists,
and I will also post pictures soon on my blog:
