Located four Snowy Owls late yesterday afternoon, three of which were in
their usual haunts off of 120th Ave. and 690th St. Found one owl south of
685th 1/2 mile west of 120th. The Merlin was first observed sitting on a
bent corn stalk about 20 feet away from a Snowy sitting on the ground north
of 690th. We then observed the Merlin rise up and then make a couple of
diving passes at the owl as if to say 'I see you.'
