On Saturday around 11 AM I reported finding a pair of Blue Grosbeaks in SW LQP County. Both birds flew west about 200 feet where the Male perched on the upper branch of a brush pile with the female just below. In good light I got a great look at both of them, the male in beautiful adult plumage. This location was on 127th Ave S and 1/4 mile north of 150th St in Manfred Township. 45 minutes later and 2 miles NE I located 2 more Blue Grosbeaks on the north side of 170th St near 141st Ave. Both birds I was able to photograph although the female BG photo did not turn out very well. The male BG appears to be a 1st summer male with blue and gray around the head, a brownish gray belly, and brownish back. This would make a total of 4 Blue Grosbeak's found in one day.
